Ruffle Dresses/Skirts

Anyone remember Leanne Marshall's design for the Project Runway Season 5 finale? Those ruffled dresses/skirts were really nice. Although it's hardly anything new :)

His ruffle technique was called a paradox because "while virtually every piece of clothing sports some sort of flourish or ruffle, the best of these also possess a cleanly sculpted feel." Individually cut petals are paired, gathered and stitched all over the skirt to create a voluminous look.
