Fashion Shows

I saw these amazing pictures on Slate today. I love them because they tell so many stories. Most of all, they are real. They show that fashion shows are nerve racking; models sometimes can be lonely. However, they are still dreamy. Maybe that's the magic of fashion.

Anyone remember Leanne Marshall's design for the Project Runway Season 5 finale? Those ruffled dresses/skirts were really nice. Although it's hardly anything new :)

Creation date 1980 Materials silk organza In 1980, Women Wear Daily gave Halston a new nickname: "Mr. Ruffle." His ruffle technique was called a paradox because "while virtually every piece of clothing sports some sort of flourish or ruffle, the best of these also possess a cleanly sculpted feel." Individually cut petals are paired, gathered and stitched all over the skirt to create a voluminous look.
